وكذلك مكنا ليوسف في الارض

The measures implemented by Yusuf (peace be upon him) for the comfort of the people of Egypt were unparalleled. In the days of drought, Yusuf (peace be upon him) ceased to eat to his full. People would ask why he remained hungry despite the entire treasury of Egypt being under his control. He would state that this was to ensure he shared the grief of those who were experiencing hunger.
