والشمس والقمر حسبانا

Allah Ta'ala has fixed the rising and setting of the sun and moon with unique calculation, based on which mankind is able to calculate years, months, days, hours, minutes, even seconds.

This is the work of the overwhelming power of Allah Ta'ala. Such great spheres of light and their movements have been made with such immense regularity, that not a second of inconsistency is found, even after a thousand years. Their machinery is not in need of any workshop, nor do their components need maintenance. Both these spheres of light rotate at a consistent speed in their orbits.

لا الشمس ينبغي لها أن تدرك القمر ولا الليل سابق النهار

Their speed is not disturbed even after a thousand years. Pity that man has been deceived by the power of this fixed system, so much so that he believes them to be self-enabling, or even deities. If their mechanics broke, if days or hours were lost in their repair, man would realise that they are not self-sustaining, rather they have a sustainer, a maker.
